Insurance coverage can be difficult to understand, but chiropractic coverage is not. Most insurance companies have chiropractic coverage, but there are some important terms you need to know.
Deductible: the amount of money they you have to pay before your insurance will pay your medical bills
Copay: the amount of money you pay with each doctor’s visit. Some copays are a flat fee, other are a percentage of the bill. Most chiropractic copays are $0-$40
Visit limit: Insurance company allow a visit amount or a dollar amount. Most insurance companies allow around 20 visits or $1000 of care.
In network vs Out of network: In network doctors agree to a pay rate. Most insurance companies only pay for in network doctors’ care.
